“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, “
Ephesians 3: 17

Paul’s letter reveals a four dimensional love which we only experience when Christ makes His dwelling in us through faith. This is because faith plays a key role in understanding Gods kind of love. We have to first understand that Christ dwells in us, through faith so we can thus be rooted and grounded in love. This actually becomes the beginning to our love experience.
The words ” rooted and grounded ” both denotes having firm foundation or resting place in love . The word “Rooted” is an image from a tree; “grounded” is an image from a building. Both trees and buildings have their strength from their foundations. What does this mean ? It is only when we are rooted and grounded in God’s love that we can understand what love is really all about.

” May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Ephesians 3:18-19

God’s love transcends human understanding. This is why it can only be grasped by faith.

It is so broad: Broad enough to save the farthest sinner.
It is long : It’s long enough to excuse and give pardon for wrongs .
It is deep : Deep enough to reach and cleans all hidden sins.
it is so High: Gods love goes to the highest extreme ,beyond all human boundaries to show mercy.

We have peace with God. The war between man and God is over. It ended when Christ was born, thus God is no more angry. He is in fact pleased with us.

Luke 2:13-14 says,
“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

This scripture has become popular for its usage during Christmas seasons .Besides this, it reveals some truths about God’s love.
Note that the verse didn’t say “peace, goodwill among men”. Because that certainly isn’t the case. There’s no peace among men. People still hate each other. Countries fight against each other. Many lives are lost in wars. If there were peace among men, this wouldn’t be the case.

This only means that, what the angels declared was a kind of peace between God and man. Understand that for the angels to announce this peace alone shows there was a kind of war where people received penalties and punishments for their wrongs. This is why Jesus had to come, to bring peace, good will toward men.
I believe this post serves the right time and season. Even as we celebrate the birth our or messiah, we should not forget the purpose for his coming. Love forms the basis for Christmas thus we need to know and truly experience this love..
